Remembering the Cicada

Now that they are gone i would like to take a moment to remember the cicada. Of all the haters, i was not one. In fact, i rather enjoyed their little stay. My ears delighted in their serenade. I was actually fascinated by those big red eyes and beautifully detailed wings!
Yes, i do miss that interesting insect. For now i will admire them in the pictures that i took and marvel at their at their design. Then in another thirteen years, i know they will be back and i will be watching and waiting.

Jeremy found this whatchamacallit on the door to his shop the other day. Interesting looking creature and we see a lot of interesting critters around here but i had never seen this one before.
